Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei met the country’s envoy who was injured in Lebanon amid speculations surrounding his health. Rumours about Khamenei being in a coma started to spread like wildfire amid reports that Iran has chosen Mojtaba Khamenei, the second son of Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, to succeed his father.
On Sunday, the Iranian leader met the country’s Ambassador to Lebanon, Mojtaba Amani. According to Iranian state agency IRNA, the meeting took place in Tehran on Sunday. Amani faced the brunt of the ongoing Middle East crisis after he was injured in pager explosions that rocked Lebanon in September.
