Every day that the Iranian regime is getting weaker because of the crisis over its nuclear project, which it is unable to solve, it balances this increasing weakness with new cases of human rights violations, according to Iran experts.
The regime knows very well that the people are feeling this weakness, therefore it is forced to increase torture and executions. Seeing these actions as preventive measures, it hopes to overcome this situation by controlling the people’s increasing fury which is a result of hunger, poverty, and other social crises.
Execution of a female prisoner in Qazvin Central Prison
The Iranian regime executed a female prisoner in Qazvin Central Prison at dawn on Wednesday, October 27, 2021.
The prisoner was identified as Susan Rezaeipour.
The regime executed a prisoner in Zahedan Prison on Thursday, October 21, 2021; a prisoner who had previously served time on drug-related charges. The prisoner was identified as Nazar Naz Ghanbarzehi (Siahani) from Cheshmeh Ziarat village of Zahedan (Hrana, October 21).
Another prisoner was executed in Isfahan on October 12, who had been in Dastgerd Prison for the last four years on drug-related charges. He was identified as Yousef Seifali, from Isfahan. In October, the regime executed at least 31 prisoners in various cities in Iran.
On November 2, 2021, the regime executed a prisoner in Shiraz. The prisoner was identified as Mohammad Raisi, 23, son of Eqbal, and from the village of Ritek in Fanuj county.
The prisoner contacted his family the night before his execution and informed them that he had been transferred to the prison quarantine. The next day, when his family arrived in Shiraz, they were referred to the morgue to take his body.
On Tuesday night, November 2, the regime’s prison officials killed a prisoner by injuring him at the head in Sanandaj Prison. The prisoner was identified as Khosrow Jamalifar, 26 years old. Beating prisoners in Iran’s prisons is a normal act.
Earlier, a prisoner died in a hospital in Khoy after Enucleation (Enucleation is the surgical procedure that involves removal of the entire globe and its intraocular contents) and several days in a coma after being infected with the coronavirus and being treated with the wrong drug that led to a brain infection. The inhuman act was that even hours after his death he was still kept with his hands and feet cuffed in the hospital.
The next fact that shows the regime’s fear and weakness is its increasing pressure on the political prisoners, and their families.
According to reliable news, in late September 2021, the death sentence of political prisoner Kamran Reza’ifar was declared to him. This verdict, which is the lower sentence of the court, was issued by Judge Amouzad at Branch 28 of Tehran’s Revolutionary Court.
Kamran Rezaeifar was born in 1965 and is a mechanic, married, and has children. The political prisoner was arrested by the Intelligence Ministry in January 2019 on charges of links to the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) and transferred to Evin Prison Ward 240 and 209 for interrogation.
He was held in solitary confinement for 77 days for forced confessions, deprived of the right to contact, and visit his family, and subjected to various forms of psychological torture. To pressure the political prisoner, several of his family members, including his wife and son, were also arrested, and then released.
After completing the interrogation, Mr. Rezaifar was released on heavy bail. However, in May 2020, he was suddenly called to the interrogation, without providing any explanation, was re-arrested, and transferred to Evin Prison after aggravated charges of “corruption on earth” (efsad-e fel-arz).
On Monday, December 28, 2020, this political prisoner was transferred to Branch 28 of Tehran’s Revolutionary Court, headed by Amouzad, and was informed of the moharebeh (Enemy of God) indictment. At the same session, Judge Amouzad, the head of the court, had threatened him with execution.
Rezaifar was repeatedly summoned to court, and the regime canceled his appointments for false reasons. Finally, in September 2021, Judge Amouzad issued his death sentence.
On the eve of Sattar Beheshti’s death – a blogger who was killed under torture in 2012 in Iran’s prison after being arrested by the Cyber Police criticizing the regime on Facebook – now the regime arrested his family members, fearing that the family would a hold a memorial for him.
On Wednesday night, November 3, 2021, security forces raided Ms. Beheshti’s home for an unannounced inspection and collected all their communication devices, and arrested all members of Sattar Beheshti’s family.
