A Basij official in Qeshm island has announced the arrests of 15 people at a night party in a resort on the island.
Mohammad Salari, commander of the Qeshm island Revolutionary Guards said: “These partygoers were arrested in a sting operation that had been coordinated between intelligence forces, the township’s police force and the Basij militia on the island.”
Khomeinist regime-run ROKNA News Agency also reported 52 partygoers were detained in Mashhad on Thursday night, which is considered the weekend in Iran.
Gholam-Ali Saedeghi the Judiciary head of the northeastern province said: “In a sting operation, Khorasan Morality Police, arrested more than 50 people at a luxury party near Mash’had. The partygoers who were ‘wealthy’ were detained on Thursday night. Female police officers detained 23 women who were dressed and acted immorally,” he said, adding that the other 29 detainees were men.”
On August 1st Salari announced the arrest of another 33 partygoers in Qeshm. He reported 23 men and ten women “had been drinking in an inappropriate manner” and that families must take better care of the younger members of their families. He added: “Failure to comply with ethical, religious norms has far-reaching consequences for abusers, so families must monitor young people.”
On August 16, ten people were arrested during a wedding ceremony in the town of Juybar. Another 52 young women and men were arrested in another party in the northern city of Saari on August 24. The 29 men and 23 women were rounded up under the pretext of having inappropriate attire.
The Khomeinist regime continues to raid various parties and ceremonies claiming social ills and the damaging and detrimental propagation of “the Western lifestyle”. Last month in the city of Hamadan, an all women’s party was stormed, the women were all arrested and charged with corruption.
