Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian expressed the country’s readiness to implement the deals and joint projects it has signed with Oman.
In a telephone conversation with Foreign Minister of Oman Sayyid Badr Albusaidi on Tuesday, Amirabdollahian highlighted the importance of neighboring countries in the foreign policy of Tehran.
He also emphasized the need for continued consultations with Oman on bilateral, regional and international issues and on ways to enhance ties in various political and economic fields.
The Iranian foreign minister pointed to the significance of closer cooperation in all sectors, saying Iran is ready to implement the previous deals as well as projects and pacts agreed before by the two countries.
He further expressed deep concern over the escalation of violence in Afghanistan, especially in relation to the terrorist attacks by the Daesh (ISIL or ISIS) terror group.
The two senior diplomats also stressed the need to continue talks between Tehran and Muscat about various regional and international issues.
They expressed hope that Iran and Oman would see an increase in cooperation in various fields, the Foreign Ministry’s website reported.
