According to information obtained by Iran Human Rights, Amirabbas Azarmvand was arrested at his home in Tehran at 8:30 am, on September 1.
“Amirabbas’s family were told that he was being detained by the IRGC intelligence organisation and the arrest warrant they showed them stated that he was being charged with propaganda against the system,” a relative told IHR. He is being held in the security Ward 209 of Evin Prison.
Amirabbas is an economic journalist at Samt newspaper and workers’ rights activist who was previously arrested in 2009, 2016 and earlier this year. He worked for Etemad, Khabar Online, Taadol before working for Samt, the newspaper for the Ministry of Industry.
