On the night of Tuesday, August 27, Zartosht Ahmadi-Ragheb was arrested at a raid to his home by security forces. Agents have also seized all of his family members’ cell phones.
“They did not tell us the reason for Zartosht’s arrest. He could only call on the same night to tell us he is held at ward 209 of Evin prison,” a relative told IHR.
Zartosht Ahmadi-Ragheb is one of the 14 activists who wrote a letter to Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei and demanded his resignation. So far, at least 7 signatories of the letter are arrested by the security forces.
