Iranian workers, defrauded car buyers, and disabled people held at least six protests on Saturday in various Iranian cities including Tehran, Arak, Ahwaz and Rasht.
According to reports from Iran, a group of defrauded investors of the Adineh Complex in the northern city of Rasht gathered in the city’s prayer center to demand their stolen savings. The protesters said that despite the pre-sale of the complex, the construction was still not completed.

ILNA state-run News Agency said that a number of disabled people gathered outside the Presidential Office in Tehran. They were protesting the failure of the government in carrying out disability laws.
The protesters chanted “disability laws have to be carried out”, “we have so many problems that the government does not know about”, and “our rights are being violated”.
The disabled protesters blamed the government for the injustices against them.

A large number of HEPCO workers in the western city of Arak also gathered outside the factory demanding their delayed paychecks and protesting the undetermined state of the company.
HEPCO is the largest heavy equipment manufacturer in the Middle East.
According to the state-run ILNA News Agency, the workers said that they were worried about their job security and that the CEO of the company had given forced leaves to workers without pay.
The report said that in the past five months, the workers had only received one month of complete paychecks.

Temporary workers of the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting (Seda and Sima) in Arak gathered yesterday protesting their poor work conditions. They told ILNA that that they did not have job contracts, and insurance and that their pay was less than the legal rate.
A number of workers at the Fasa Sugar Cube factory in the southwestern province of Fars also gathered on Saturday to demand months of their unpaid wages.

A group of workers from RAMCO (Rehabilitation & Maintenance Petrochemical Co.) in the southwestern city of Ahwaz gathered to demand six months of their unpaid wages. The workers held large banners asking the Governor of Ahwaz to see to their economic grievances.

Ordinary Iranians, especially Iran’s working class, bear the brunt of the economic crisis, the result of 40 years of the regime’s corruption and mismanagement. Despite the regime’s new wave of suppression against activists and protesters, Iranians continue to demand their rights in daily demonstrations all over Iran.
