Top Iranian military commanders have expressed their readiness to cooperate with President Masoud Pezeshkian’s administration after parliament approved his cabinet.

Major General Abdul Rahim Mousavi, commander of Iran’s army, sent separate messages to all 19 newly confirmed government ministers.

Mousavi emphasized the army’s willingness to strengthen bilateral interactions across various areas and to use available capacities to support the government’s plans.

According to the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA), General Mousavi expressed hope that the cooperation between the army and the administration would ultimately lead to “national unity.”

“The advancement of bilateral cooperation, aligned with the overarching policies of the Islamic Republic and guided by the foresight of the Supreme Leader, is essential,” he said.

“Using valuable domestic resources and the President’s scholarly approach to bolstering national unity is crucial,” he added.

Major General Hossein Salami, commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), also sent a message to President Pezeshkian, affirming the IRGC’s readiness to collaborate with the new administration.

President Pezeshkian said on Wednesday that he selected his cabinet after consultations with key security and intelligence organizations, including the Ministry of Intelligence and the IRGC.

“We had maximum understanding and collaboration with everyone we needed to agree with,” he said.

Pezeshkian confirmed that the security organizations, including the IRGC and the Intelligence Ministry, “were fully consulted, and only after securing their agreement was the final list presented.”
