Two Baluch men were killed by security forces on August 4 in Kahnuj, southeastern Iran.
According to the Baloch Campaign website, security forces opened fire on the two men on suspicion that they were carrying drugs. The names of the two men were not identified in the report.
This is the second case in August that security forces or police kill innocent civilians.
On August 1, two Baluch men were killed by narcotic forces in Iranshahr, southeastern Iran. The two men were identified as Iraj and Mehrdad Shahnavazi.
Iranian police and security forces carry out these shootings with impunity.
An annual report by a human rights group said at least 204 Iranian citizens were directly or indirectly targeted by Iran’s state security forces in 2020, 74 of whom lost their lives.
