Employees of health centers from Iran’s Khuzestan Province protesting over low wages clashed with the regime’s suppressive state security forces on Sunday, July 21.
The angry protesters had gathered in front of the central office of the Medical Science at the University of Ahvaz.
The regime’s police attempted to subdue the protest and struck protesters. That led to a skirmish and furious chants of “scoundrels” against the police.
The protesters had gathered from various cities of the province, including Ahvaz, Ramhormoz and Mahshahr, protesting the non-payment of their salaries and low level of their wages and demanding their other rights.
