Iran’s Ministry of Intelligence arrested Kurdish civilian Bayan Farajollahi without a judicial order after raiding her home in Sanandaj, Kurdistan province, on 17 July.
The reason for Farajollahi’s arrest is currently unknown.
The arrest is part of a new wave of arrests of Kurdish civilians and activists by the Ministry of Intelligence and the Intelligence Organisation of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) in various cities of Kurdistan ahead of the anniversary of the government murder of Jina Mahsa Amini.
