Iranian police aggression against women who break the harsh dress codes has exacerbated. Ayoub Soleimani, the deputy commander of the Iranian police, spoke of “serious reactions” against women who do not adhere to the regime’s veiling rules.
Soleimani, while claiming that “more than 90% of the Iranian society agree with the basics of veiling,” said the police will seriously react to “the improper veiling” calling it an “evident crime.”
Ali Alghasi, Tehran’s prosecutor, previously declared that those who protest against enforced veiling will be firmly dealt with and their dossier will be processed off the regular procedure.
Last march, The U.S. State Department strongly condemned the oppression of women’s rights in Iran and urged Iran to end the harassment and imprisonment of women who seek their basic rights.
