NFC and Iran Alumina Company are working together on project sponsored by IMIDRO in Jajarm, North Khorasan Iran according to IMIDRO official website. The project investment estimate is 132 milion euros;
City of Jajarm is also home to a secret facility set up by Iran’s elite security force, the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps, that has been producing aluminium powder for use in its missile programme, according to a former Iranian government official and documents. Aluminium powder, derived from bauxite, is a key ingredient in solid-fuel propellants used to launch missiles. According to the documents related to the aluminium powder programme, the Jajarm facility is run by Iran Alumina Company.
Iran Alumina Company is a subsidiary of state-owned mines and metal holding company Iranian Mines and Mining Industries Development and Renovation Organisation (IMIDRO). IAC held talks with NFC about obtaining equipment;
