Deir Ezzor province: SOHR sources have reported that a member of National Defence Forces and his minor daughter were shot dead by a member of Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps due to money dispute between them in Al-Bareed street in Al-A’sharah city in east Deir Ezzor countryside within areas controlled by regime forces and Iranian-backed militias.
According to reliable SOHR sources, a patrol of Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps arrested the killer and took him to the security centre in Al-Arba’aeen street in Al-Mayadeen city to protect him from retaliation.
On April 8, SOHR sources reported that three members of IRGC of Syrian nationality were shot dead by gunmen, after storming a military post on the outskirts of Al-Mayadeen city, “the capital of the Iranian militias in eastern Syria”, in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor on the desert side. The members hailed from Hatlah town, which has a “Shiite” majority, and one of the seven villages east of the Euphrates, in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor, where jihadist gunmen carried out a massacre in 2013, that resulted in the death of 60 people, the majority of whom were armed members of the “Shiite sect”, where the bodies were taken to the hospital, without knowing who was behind their killing.
