Iran’s destructive actions in the Middle East are a major concern for the countries in that region and for the rest of the international community.
Since the start of the mullahs’ rule in 1979, one of the regime’s main destructive activities has been its meddling in the Middle East. Terror acts, kidnapping, the foundation of extreme proxy groups and their support, misusing Islam in the favor of its satanic ideology, suicide attacks and many other acts are only in the favor of the long-term dream of this regime to establish a so-called Shia crescent.
So, it can be said that Iran was the most destructive country in the Middle East in the past 40 years. From the Iran-Iraq war to the war in Lebanon, then in Syria and Yemen. None of the countries in the Middle East had the chance to a peaceful moment thanks to the mullahs in Iran.
Perhaps it is enough to look at the last of these actions to give us enough insights, actions that raised many protests and concerns.
Intervention in Iraq
We are mapping from Iran to the West and are reaching Iraq. Where it may be said that the Iranian government tried to create a government like itself, and largely successful in this, although in the last two years the Iraqi people have risen up and stood against it.
After the 2003 war in Iraq, by the US-led coalition, the Iranian government, which was in the aftermath of the destruction and fall of Saddam Hussein’s rule, found its desirable perfection, and moved its forces toward its western neighbor. Horror ensued.
The killing of a major part of the former Iraqi government officials, scientists, doctors, ethnic cleansing, many explosions over consecutive years and killing thousands of innocent people are the result of Iran supreme leader Ali Khamenei’s interference and its system in Iraq.
The Sunni Society and Syrian provinces have paid the highest cost of Iran’s interference in Iraq, but the Shiite population opposed Khamenei policies is also the purpose of killing and mass assassination of the regime’s terror squads and militias, supported by the regime’s Quds Forces.
In an instance in a checkout with the United States, in the wake of an indirect diplomacy of the 2015 Iran nuclear deal, known as the JCPOA, only since the start of US president Joe Biden’s administration, which has not reached 100 days in office, the regime’s militias carried out 23 military strikes against US targets in Iraq.
On April 23, 2021, the Kata’ib Hezbollah group officially announced, refusing to abandon their weapons and Abu Ali al-Askari the spokesperson of this group said: ” The Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF) will never be dissolved, and Kata’ib Hezbollah delivers its weapons only on the advent of Imam Zaman (Mainly known as Imam Mahdi, which is the twelfth and last Imam of the Shias.”
Interference in Saudi Arabia and Bahrain
We continue our trip to the south and reach Saudi Arabia and Bahrain, where the most famous regime terror acts are the Grand Mosque seizure in 1979, which the then regime leader Ruhollah Khomeini attribute it to the USA and Israel and said: “It is not beyond guessing that this is the work of criminal American imperialism and international Zionism.” Now after many years and the regime’s attempts in Saudi Arabia like the ‘Khobar Towers bombing’ in 1996 and its attacks on the ARAMCO oil facilities and the Houthi movement drone attacks prepared by Iran’s regime against Saudi Arabia, it is clear that since the beginning behind all of these deadly acts has been the regime in Tehran.
Bahrain has not been immune from Iran’s interferes, provoking the rebellion, the education, and arms of Bahrain Shiites to confront Bahrain’s Sunni government and the design of the coup, attempting terrorist operations in 2017 and starting the Shiite demonstrations against the rule of the Al-Khalifa family. Leaded to the cut of Bahrain’s diplomatic relations with Iran.
Iran’s meddling in Yemen
Now we move from Saudi Arabia to Yemen, where the regime since the end of 1999 has supported the Houthis. Then, after the power was transferred from Ali Abdullah Saleh to Abdrabbuh Mansur Hadi, it used the Houthis against the Yemeni government and launched a civil war in Yemen, which is still continuing.
This war affected other countries too, mainly Saudi Arabia which was forced to take a stance because of the many attacks by the Houthis against its cities and soils, by the Houthis’ missiles and drone given by Iran’s regime.
Rostam Ghasmi, the Economic Consultant of the Quds Force, on 21 April in an interview with RT said: “Iran is providing the Houthis guns and gives them military training.”
He added: “The Revolutionary Guards have advised the supported Houthis in Yemen for the construction of rockets and drones.”
As the Commander of US CENTCOM General Kenneth Mckenzie said: “Tehran’s use of Houthi militias as a tool to implement its expansionist agenda, and spread chaos and terrorism threatens international interests in the Red Sea and Bab al-Mandeb.” (Ashraq al-awast, April 21, 2021)
Interference in Syria
Now we continue our trip to the north and reach Syria. The results and signs of the regime’s meddling in this country are very visible.
The result has been the killing of more than 500,000 civilians in Syria, and the wounding and displacement of more than 12 million Syrians only because of the regime’s interests and to hold the communication bridge with the Hezbollah in Lebanon and expand its power in the middle east which was the dark dream of the regime’s founder. The estimated budget that the regime has used to continue this war is more than $30 billion.
Interference in Lebanon
Now we move to Lebanon, this country has witnessed the most interferences by this regime in the past 40 years from the start of the civil war with the founding of the Hezbollah until now, while the regime prevents the establishment of a stable and democratic government in this country. Grabbing and capturing the country’s economy is another aspect that has led to the misery of Lebanon’s people.
The support of the Hezbollah is so obvious that the Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah once said: “Since Iran’s money is flowing, we will have money.”
Interference in Palestine
In relation to this country and the regime’s activities there much to say, the easiest fact is that in the last 40 years the only party that is benefiting from the instability of this country and the suffering of its people is Iran’s regime, provoking many times wars and clashes between the Israelis and the Palestinians through its supported proxy forces. These activities have led to the failure of all peace plans and struggles.
Many of the missile attacks against Israel are ordered by this regime. Like the latest rocket attacks in the past days from the Gaza Strip.
Mohsen Dehnavi, one the regime’s MPs, previously said: “The missile launched from Syria against Israel was Iranian.”
Interference in Afghanistan
The Iranian regime is misusing many of the Afghan Shia citizens in the form of the Fatemiyoun brigades in the Syrian war. According to Zohair Mojahed, a cultural official in the group, the group had suffered 2,000 deaths and 8,000 injuries in combat in Syria from its establishment up to the end of 2017.
Another goal of the Iranian regime is to dispel the US troops from Afghanistan with the help and by the support of the Taliban, to find a free soil to continue its malign activities.
Abdul Sattar Hosseini, an Afghan MP, on April 21 said, “To make Herat province insecure, Iran is supporting 26 groups.”
It seems therefore that no country in the region is immune from the suffering caused by Iran’s regime. The question here is why does the international community not refer the case of this regime to the UN Security Council. What else should Iran do to be called a menace?
