Domestic unrest in Iran has been simmering for the past year and a half, with it brewing over on a number of occasions into full-blown protests and anti-government demonstrations. There are “Resistance Units” spread all over the country and they have been instrumental in the organisation of these events.
These “Resistance Units” are part of the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI / MEK) and they are concentrating on the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) that has just been designated as a foreign terrorist organisation (FTO) by the United States.
In central Iran, Resistance Unit 315 set fire to a poster of Regime’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei in the city of Khansar.
Resistance Unit 802 has been very active and videos are circulating on social media showing some of their activities. In Mashhad, in the northern part of the country, the unit set an IRCG Basij base on fire. The unit members were heard shouting “Hail to the National Liberation Army of Iran”. Reports indicate that they also set fire to another one of the Basij’s bases in the area.
Resistance Unit 855 in the province of West Azerbaijan in the north-western part of the country burned a picture of the Supreme Leader too, while shouting “Death to Khamenei – Hail to Rajavi” [Massoud Rajavi – the opposition leader and President of the National Council of Resistance of Iran Maryam Rajavi].
The Resistance in Iran is growing stronger and stronger thanks to the support of the PMOI / MEK. The people are determined for regime change because they know that the mullahs will never change.
For the past month, the people of Iran have been dealing with the consequences of some very serious flooding and they are disgusted at the regime’s negligence and incompetence. Instead of providing the people with much-needed help, the regime has left the people to fend for themselves. Flooding could have been much less serious in some areas if the regime had acted to put preventative measures in places.
Once again, the people, and especially the young people of Iran including children, have rallied around and helped in their communities.
Protests have already broken out in several places and the regime is very concerned that they will spread further across the country. For this reason, it is posting armed security agents in towns across Iran to dissuade people from protesting.
The Resistance in Iran in unrelenting. For decades it has remained steadfast in its goals of freedom, democracy and human rights. So many members of the Resistance movement have been killed – executed by the brutal regime – simply for standing up for what is right.
The people of Iran will be the force behind regime change. Every single Resistance Unit in Iran is making a difference and the conditions in the country are evolving all the time. The network of Resistance Units is spread across the whole country, with support for the PMOI / MEK in every province. They are giving the people the strength to continue fighting for what is right.
