From January 22 to January 24, the Iranian regime executed 14 prisoners in a stark display of brutality, adding to its ongoing wave of repression. In response, Iran’s rebellious youth took bold and decisive action, targeting key symbols and centers of the regime’s oppression and corruption. These acts sent a clear and defiant message: “No to executions.”
A Nationwide Resistance

The courageous actions of resistance groups spanned several cities, targeting institutions tied to the regime’s systemic repression. Key incidents included:

Tehran: Explosions at a center of terrorism and a regime building accused of plundering public resources.
Bam: Four explosions at a security forces headquarters.
Isfahan (Barkhar): Two explosions at a Basij headquarters of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC).
Mashhad and Arak: Explosions at regime-affiliated buildings.

These bold actions highlighted the widespread defiance among the Iranian populace against the regime’s tactics of fear and intimidation.
A Month of Grief and Defiance

The Persian month of Dey (December 21, 2024 – January 20, 2025) was particularly harrowing, with at least 113 executions reported. This brings the total number of executions under President Masoud Pezeshkian’s tenure to a staggering 775, intensifying public outrage.

In response to these atrocities, the resistance launched a series of symbolic actions:

Targeting Basij Bases: Facilities used to suppress protests were set ablaze in cities like Mashhad, Najafabad, and Talesh.
Burning Regime Symbols: Images and banners of regime leaders, including Ayatollah Khomeini, Ayatollah Khamenei, and Qasem Soleimani, were destroyed across cities like Tehran, Kermanshah, Behshahr, and Rasht.
Challenging the Regime’s Institutions: Offices of regime parliament members and banners promoting the regime’s ideology were set on fire.

These acts served not only as expressions of dissent but as powerful reminders of the Iranian people’s resilience in the face of systemic violence.
Escalating Defiance in 2025

The start of 2025 saw an even more pronounced surge in resistance. On January 4, the rebellious youth carried out 15 coordinated actions across Iran in response to over 1,000 executions in 2024 and 18 executions on the year’s first day.

Some of the notable actions included:

Explosions:
At a regime corruption center in Tehran.
At Khomeini Foundation offices, notorious for their role in systemic plundering.
At centers tied to fundamentalism and anti-women policies in Kermanshah and Bojnurd.
Symbolic Fires:
Images of Khomeini and Khamenei burned in Yazd and other cities.
Qasem Soleimani banners set ablaze in Tehran, Karaj, and Shahrekord.
Regime-affiliated buildings targeted in Bandar Anzali and Shahrekord.

A Fiery Message: No to Executions

The Iranian regime’s escalating reliance on executions to stifle dissent reflects its deepening internal crises. Yet, the spirited actions of the rebellious youth underscore a growing resistance movement unwilling to bow to fear.

These oppression-breaking operations have not only exposed the regime’s vulnerabilities but have also amplified the Iranian people’s fiery message of defiance. The youth’s courage and determination signal a continued struggle against tyranny, with hopes for justice and freedom driving their cause.
